That is EXACTLY what happened in the early stages of the downturn in the underlying housing market. The official gauges of house prices didn’t fall even as volume all but dried up. What happened to GM’s 4th Qtr (2008) earnings results. They have suppressed these results. Its normally reported one month after the quarter ends. Something is not right here. They are hiding somthing.
They are done ! Any company losing 5 billion per quarter is really not worth that tax payers pay for it
i stored food in the basement. when my father came home and bitched at me because i took the garbage of the shelf and put rice, spaghetti and canned food on it. Its a very strange feeling. i read ur blog i think u are good at what u do, i havnt a clue about all this stuff but i do know we are heading for a disaster then ww3 for dessert!
No government or mainstream media outlet can possibly ever announce “There’s no tomorrow” (or anything like it). History has shown people do not want to hear this dark message even in the worst of times.
So do not expect it and make your own preparations for surviving a number of scenario on your own (when I say “your own” I include friends, neighbours and family).
Why do I have a very bad feeling about next week?

People have got that . jberni1, You missed out that the crew on the Titanic reacted by getting the band on the deck playing music while they swept the ice away reassuring people everything was OK. Most people are not ready to see the worst and bought into it. Obama sweet talk about green shoots = The Band playing music. This is going to get a lot lot worse.
