Isn’t that where Cheney and Ghuliani have sent all their money???
I hear that often – not sure why its said so often about this part of the world and not the US for example where some would say we are far more wasteful
muy vacano todo lo que estan haciendo en Dubai, interesantes las construcciones.
thanks for your report but it is a little country? Who secures it in case Iran, oman, Arabs, Egypt, or even Iraq invades? the great motivation is the tax free condition but as it grows who is going to pay for the services? Beside, as we find alternative to petro how is this city going to find the $? Personally I stay away from petro. I walk to work and just about anywhere. Or mass trans.
No, Dubai is a city and an Emirate. Interesting that you think the Arabs might invade Dubai. Dubai is part of the UAE – United ARAB Emirates.
Why do you think these other countries are going to invade Dubai? They only get between 4% and 7% of their revenue her from oil, if that is your reasoning. I suggest a little more reading up on the region.
Butifarra61…
Dubai is NOT a country, it is a city and an Emirate. Interesting that you think the Arabs are going to invade… Dubai is one of the Emirates that makes up the country that is the UAE, United ARAB Emirates.
Why would these other countries invade? Oil? Dubai’s income is not reliant on oil, only 4% to 7% of their income comes from here.
Please don’t take this wrong but I think you need to read up a little more about the region.
I guess it is Because your country it helps other by giving food and help in the development for poor countries… and the hundreds of hundreds of Organizations dedicated to that labour… Although your country is also seen as wasteful one… I think it is a love & hate situation.
I try to stay away from petro too, I choosed not not buy a car for that reason instead getting a new bike to go to work which fortunatly is quite close home. And when i don’t feel like biking i use the mass trans too
They are investing billions of dollars (Dirhams) to create something, there are countries that spend billions of dollars on war and destruction. I know which I prefer.
Why is the way Dubai (city and Emirate, not country) INVESTS it’s money more offensive?
NYC is going to be destroyed and Dubai will takes its place.
hey im very interested on the thing you said on UAE getting only 4-7% of their income from oil. i have herd this before but i cant find it anywere, could you help me on this because i want to show these idiots that dont believe me. why is everybody jelous of arabs, so they have to make these redicolous statements? everybody wake up dont be so predjeduce and jelous, UAE will be the most advanced country in the world

hey dude i want you to know that you miscalculate it so much…Due to recession ..dubai now turned into a ghost town….lots fleed…now there are more than 3,000 cars left abandoned in Dubai airport due to runaway workers that lost their jobs…avioding to be imprisoned with their maxed out credit cards…
3000 construction workers, yes. but that doesnt matter costs are down now, and constructors are always available
If there where no Dubai, there would be no hungry people on the world…:P
enough money to save the globe…to much money for to few people…like the buildings but don t like the idea…
Isn’t there a site were I could find a job in sales in dubai? I would love to go back!!
If someone could help it would be greate.
Thanks

Wars create poverty, such places as Iraq and the Palestinian lands, and now i imagine that’s Dubai’s fault too?
Places such as NY are triple times bigger than Dubai.
so if everyone in dubai lived in huts, the world hunger probem would be be solved…..so all the money Dubai makes from difc should not help its own economy but everyone elses?
ure really clever…
forget the wars the mass genocides the religious conflicts…its dubai s fault for making beautful buildings that poverty is rampant
Arabs was until China,100 millions chineses are muslims,it’s the only not européen people to have been up to heart of the europe with this army.we conquered the afghanistan, while english did not succeed, the first to have translated the greek thinkers, arabic numerals, algebra, the first instrument of chirurgie etc etc etc.Badly for people living in an arid desert, take your book, return you stud ignorent pig.
1- dubai emirati people are greedy when giving passports/visas, paying wages to poor construction workers and share wealth among only 12% of the population while others live in poverty
2- homosexuality is a big problem in gulf arab states0 (seriously i’ve lived in abu dhabi so i know)
3- opressed local women wear ninjasuit burkas
4- dubai is being built on exploitive slavery
5- refugees are persecuted by sheik Issa bin Zayed Al Nahyan who tortures
conclusion? theres a dark side to the UAE
