Greece riots: 100000 fight against harsh cuts in Athens financial crisis protests
Follow RT at twitter.com and at www.facebook.com At least three people have been killed during protest in Greece, as rioters set fire to a bank building. Thousands are on the streets of Athens in opposition to harsh spending cuts which are part of a new austerity package aimed at saving Greece from bankruptcy. Workers marched to the parliament and clashed with police, with many blaming the government for cutting wages and pensions. The draft bill of the new austerity package will be voted on by the end of the week.

IDIOTENSICHER IPHONE KOSTENLOS UND EINFACH ABSTAUBEN NUR INNERHALB EINER WOCHE….
@goldieyes7 Tories want to stay British not being to involved with the EU.border control.
Labour well u know what cunts labour are.
UK is Us closest ally, so 4 UK to support US in Afghan & Iran because at the moment in UK many people r antiUS so many want UK 2 loosen ties with the US. Best bet would be tories but 2 tell u the truth their r all lying cunts. Is the US covering the election live or in section.
@joeb1963 except in this instance its all color race and religion versus the government, this isnt a race riot its a march against the corrupt.
@smp236520 oh ok, So in a way, we are kinda ,like in partnership with Britain. (in business) Thanks
I do believe that this whole mess is going to change the way that Greeks handle the elections. I mean that everybody knew about the corrupted Gov’s and the impotence of the 2 political parties that ruled over the years and yet, they still voted for the same guys! They act like devotees and not like conscientious citizens who do what’s to be done in order to bring their country out of the darkness. So yeah truth to be told, if you are corrupted then your leaders will be corrupted too.
@joeb1963 Yeah, I believe that
Less Govt. is good? If it weren’t for that pompous faker Obama continuing giving huge bailouts to the failed banks and printing money the US economy would be in Greece’s shoes. Difference in the US is people are jaded, dumb, and don’t even know where the’re standing. You can screw american workers they won’t even know. Average americans just watch Tv and work like slaves for some company to pay their debts until they die. The 3% of the popultation control 90% of the wealth.
chaos.. i will not shocked if it will like this in Turkey too soon..
@NiteAngel i am whatever i want………the sure is that i am greek…..and far away from you…..i dont like people who hate other people bye
Strikes/Blockades/Protests would hinder the country’s progress further. People should support the government during these hard times. If not, the crisis might worsen even further day-by-day. The government has taken loan to run the country from collapse. How can it provide the generous benefits using the loan and in this situation? You might enjoy back the benefits once there are signs of economic progress, which definitely can happen for a historical country like Greece.
@joeb1963 I agree with you, but that’s not the case here. This is a class division between rich and poor – the working and middle class are rebelling against the austerity measures imposed by Europe and the IMF in return for debt money of 110 billion. There is no skin colour or religious hatred here. All types of Greeks regardless of those things realise they’re all in the same boat.
Ha, ha, ha !
Look at all the socialists demanding more, more, more.
They don’t understand that there aren’t enough taxpayers to rape, to support the lifestyle they think they deserve.
This will be America soon, if Obama’s marxists policies aren’t stopped.
@aveenPulimi I disagree, the people should carry this the whole way and thrown out the government and dismantle the capitalist system. Set up there own form of democratic economy. Workers should take control of factories and self manage, throw out management, equalise pay and produce for the country’s needs, not for profit.
May the Greek people win and inspire the rest of Europe and the globe.
RISE UP PEOPLE , NOW OR NEVER!
@joeb1963 Stop trying to ally yourself to the European working class, take your criminality your STDs and your low IQ back to Africa where you and your Ugly unevolved race of Parasites belong.
did anyone see Food INc. ? I cant believe that our famers are slaves to these corp. of what kind of seeds to put in the fert.. and how these animals are being fed and raised. So unfair, that you dont know what to eat anymore.
@joeb1963 Cant wait to see it
Germany can only make pressure on the wages of other countries because we have here in Germany no consistent minimum wage – it gives people the security deposit for a trial-paying job and they lose in case of early dismissal!
@joeb1963 tell that to the loved ones of the murderd bank workers when will the greek people realise that the country is BANKRUPT cop on
I just saw a movie called “Stock Shock” in Hollywood about Wall Street manipulation and the audience was pretty shocked. It was told through the eyes of Sirus XM investors that nearly went broke because of naked short selling. The movie was called “Stock Shock” and is now on DVD just about everywhere. Movie trailer is at amazon
Greek people no nothing of Economics, there cuts and Bailout are the best thing for them. This is nothing else they can do too stop being bankrupt.
Personally, I think everyone is bankrupted , except for the wealthly
@goldieyes7 true
@dbviewer5 and that would be a bad thing why?????
